Check relevance first
A technically valid contact can still be wrong for your audience. Review the company’s business activity and the person’s function against your campaign brief.
Measure completeness by field
Do not treat a record as simply complete or incomplete. Check the availability of each required field, and ask how unknown values are represented. A missing phone field may be acceptable in one project and critical in another.
Ask what verification means
Different checks answer different questions. Format checks, domain checks, role review, and deliverability checks are not interchangeable. Ask what was checked and what uncertainty remains.
Understand freshness
A recent file export does not necessarily mean every underlying attribute was recently verified. Ask which timestamps are available and what each one represents.
Test the handoff
Check that record IDs, column names, encodings, and matching rules work with your system. Keep a small import or review step before making wider changes to a CRM.
A sample is a working document.
Use it to question the criteria, the field definitions, and the handoff. Resolve the important details while the project is still small.
